Ciudad dE Los ninos

This is now a home for refugee children between the ages of 11-17. At age 18 they have to leave and are supported in a hostel for one year. The challenge is to assist them into long term employment and safe accommodation. We will consider if we can assist this objective in addition to supporting the current growing number of refugee children.

Founded in 1950 by Brother Carlos Fernández Dorador in order to welcome minors and young people with socio-family problems, offering them a family home and training that enables their future work and social integration.

The ‘City of Children’ offers both educational and residential services, with a college and two homes. It is supported by public and private bodies, and relies a great deal on donations. It is no longer an orphanage but a home for refugee children aged 11-17.

They have been supported in the past with the purchase of bedspreads, beach towels and flip-flops, all of which made the Ciudad de los Ninos a happier place.
